Basic concept: The user of this ability is capable of shifting, manipulating and controlling 'Earthen elements'. The ability does not allow the user to create earthquakes or to disrupt the Earth's crust, but allowed the user to manipulate earthly substances to a degree that can be used as a defense as well as just useful in their daily life.

Pros:
▹ The user can turn earth into objects, weapons, armor and other items as well as minor constructions. (Wall, dome, stairs, chair, table etc.)
▹ Capable of creating a defensive wall out of dirt.
▹ The user can easily push holes into the ground to unbalance someone or to make someone fall into the hole.
▹ Can be used to throw dirt and or stones at someone as a weapon.
▹ User can move rocks (depending on the size) around with their ability and can shape them as they like.
▹ The user can create an avalanche if close enough to a mountain.
↳ But this would put the user in high danger as well, seeing as the user’s range is not impeccable.
▹ The user can repair objects of earthen material to some degree.

Cons:
▹ The earth that is manipulate will not suddenly become impenetrable, it holds the same components as before the manipulation even if squeezed together to be able to be held up. (A bullet per example would easily go through a wall that’s set up with it.)
▹ The user cannot manipulate more earth than four times what they weigh themselves.
↳ The user weighs 192 pounds (87kg).
↳ One 5 gallons bucket of dry sand is 70lbs (31 kg), therefore the user can manipulate up to 11 buckets of dry sand.
▹ Cannot create earthly substances, they need to be within reach.
↳ Full Range: 50 yards (45 meters), which is the length of half a soccer field. Do note that the proper range, for the ability to be used to its full potential, is 10 yards (9 meters) and it will gradually become harder to practice the ability the further it goes. 50 yards (45 meters) is where the ability simply cannot be practiced anymore.
▹ Earth manipulation is as straining on the user as it would be if they exercised. So say they have to keep up a wall, then 10 minutes is fine, but imagine having to hold up a few buckets of dry sand for over an hour? That’s nearly impossible. I won't put a time limit on it as it varies per material as well as circumstance, but on average you can say that he cannot keep the ability up for longer than 30 minutes.
▹ The user needs full control to avoid unnecessary destruction.
▹ Cannot use their ability if electricity is involved; electricity travels through ground and breaks apart the earth after all.
▹ Ability does not allow the user to manipulate plants, bones and or metal.

Jasper is a very calm and timid individual. He overall has a very optimistic and hopeful outlook on things and considers honesty, generosity and responsibility as vital elements for every human being.
In interaction you will easily notice that Jasper is a rather vigilant individual who doesn’t speak up as much as he could and perhaps even should. He’s very warm and supportive, but at the same time he is more of a reserved loner who doesn’t mind some peace every now and then.

While Jasper prefers not being the center of attention or just generally people expecting him to talk a lot, he also doesn’t like complete silence and being alone. Which is rather conflicting for him internally as being with a lot of people in a room is rather energy draining for him. It’s why he prefers to work in places where more people are present and why he enjoys letting the television play or listening to music when no one is around him. It prevents him from getting antsy and anxious as the silence and loneliness will quickly get on his nerves and will distract him from his work.

His soft-heartedness is both something he likes about himself as something that could easily get him in trouble. Due to it he is very susceptible of pity or other kindly affection and he can’t resist helping someone that he sees that is in trouble, suffering or in need. He doesn’t tend to think about the repercussions of these situations before getting involved.
Yet at the same time it allows him to be very forgiving and caring about people. Perhaps sometimes even a bit too much, which makes him edge into an overprotective area, especially to those that occasionally go out to face danger. He knows what is out there after all.

//History//

Jasper was born into a family that was unstable way before he came to this world. His father was an alcoholic and an avid gambler, his mother desperate for love and attention had been committing adultery for years with a man that worked alongside with her at her job. Jasper hadn’t been planned, yet was welcomed by his mother and two older brothers with open arms.

When Jasper was four months old, his mother divorced and left his father as he was gambling all of their money away. After going through a custody case, his mother gained full custody over the three boys, considering the father couldn’t provide a stable environment for them to grow up in. His brothers, who were 11 and 5 years at the time, were rejoiced that their mother finally had the courage to leave their father as even they knew at the time that he was a horrible man and that he wasn’t going to change any time soon.

Their mother did not have high expectations for her sons. The most important thing for her was that they would be happy and had whatever they wanted. Surely she couldn’t give them everything as they did not have a lot of money spend, but the love and attention and help their mother provided them with seemed to be enough for the three boys. They went to school and behaved, though not necessarily so their mother wouldn’t have to worry, but rather that they wanted to escape this place and world and live somewhere better.
Jasper got bullied and teased a lot by his brothers, because while they had a male figure in their life, Jasper only had his mom to look up to and to learn from, or at least he was only willing to learn from her. His brothers often called upon his ‘womanhood’ and would start a conversation about cars, just to confuse the young boy as he had no way of knowing what type of car was what. This caused him to hide behind his mom a lot while he crawled into his shell, not willing to speak up further in fear to be laughed at by his brothers.

When Jasper turned 7 years his mother toppled into a depression. The man she was having an affair had promised to leave is wife, but after she pressed the matter he told her that it was over and that he was staying with his wife. So after nine years of having an affair with each other they broke up as the man wanted to do the right thing.
Jasper’s oldest brother, Tim, left home around that time as he couldn’t handle the pressure anymore and as he was above the age of 16 years he was allowed by law to live on his own. Which was what he did as soon as he could. This left Jasper and his other brother, Daan, alone with their mother who was depressed and needed medical care and therapy.
Daan refuses to do much as his own life and his girlfriend seemed to be more important than his own family and mother. Which left Jasper to do everything on his own; take care of his mother, the house, food and school all at the same time. In the end he broke after only getting bad grades and falling asleep during classes. The school noticed and demanded a meet-up with his mom, but after she refused to pick up the phone and to show up on the appointments they contacted the local authority.

At the age of 16 years he was picked up by social services, with his brother, as his mother could no longer take care of her sons. She was placed into an institute who would take care of her and keep her medicated. Daan who was already 21 years old, simply left and tried to start his own life preferably over foster care.
Jasper who didn’t want to be placed in a strange family and act like he was their son, instead took the alternative to try and live on his own as well. Though as he didn’t have a diploma from school, he still had to follow a study. The only thing that was available to him at the time was the Royal Netherlands Army. They would pay for his study and provide a sleeping place if he worked for them and signed a contract which would force him to work for them after finishing his study.

Thus he joined the Army at the age of 16 years, sticking to the workplace as a mechanic for cars and tanks, while studying (OCIO) which allowed him to learn about cars and standard weaponry. It was the basics that he needed to learn before he could do anything else. Once he fulfilled 12 weeks in theory and 18 weeks practical, including going abroad, with ease, he was promoted to a study for the Royal Netherlands Navy.
For 8 months he learned everything about ships and the weaponry it carried as well as fire fighting and safety, first aid and basic military medical aid as it was obligatory for someone in his position. He had to work for another 8 full months on trial before he was finally considered a full pledged soldier.

He worked for two years at the navy before he took up another study for high tech material, which would include helicopters, ships, air planes, armored fighting vehicles and anything bigger than that. As it was his dream to join the Netherlands Air Force as a mechanic and you had to be at least 18 years and have had to follow the high tech material study.

Before he could finish his study, he got deployed as part of the Royal Netherlands Army, in 2011 due to the Libyan Revolution. During his deployment his ability was activated due to the avid urge to protect himself in the middle of a shooting in the capital. He created a large dome around his body and up against the tank. And whilst this possibly saved his life, he had no way of getting out due to the fact that he had no idea how he had created the dome made out of earth. The occurrence had not been seen by anyone at the time, but Jasper as a loyal soldier reported it to his commanding officer straight away, ending up reporting the occurrence.

In 2012 the report caught the Agency’s eye and before long a brown haired and golden eyed female accompanied by a blonde male arrived on Jasper’s doorstep, offering him a job at the agency and the promise of teaching him more about his ability, but as well as promising to improve his mechanical skills. Eager to be able to learn more not only about mechanics, but also the world, he accepted and joined them.

For eight months Jasper worked off and on at HQ02 and HQ03, going between his mechanical training to learn how the equipment of the agency worked and training his ability he ended up being invited to HQ01, the elite HQ. And as excited as he was, he accepted. Eager to discover what exactly makes HQ01 the ultimate HQ to be at.
